Tamarcus Brown created that photograph above! I was drawn to it because of his reference to Dr. Seuss and the image of skilled hands that were actively creating. It was fun, colorful and relevant to me!
So, when I looked at Tamarcus’ profile on Unsplash (the website where I curate my blog photos from), he stated, “I love creating things.” – simple as that! I had to reach out to him for permission to write/reference him on this post! Kudos to Tamarcus Brown, photographer, editor, visual content provider IG @hellotamarcus !
To all those who create their joy, happiness and find delight in what makes them fulfill their purpose – I respect and appreciate you!
Why do I celebrate this young creator and those out there producing, sharing and providing their service, talents and skill? Because – it takes vulnerability, courage, time and compassion to create. It can be pain staking to “birth” an idea, a product, a child and or relationship… If you can accomplish something that has value for yourself and others – it’s a wonderful thing!
…and he has filled him with divine spirit, with skill, intelligence, and knowledge in every kind of craft, to devise artistic designs, to work in gold, silver, and bronze, in cutting stones for setting, and in carving wood, in every kind of craft.

Creating for Care
A year ago, I realized that I had been writing one particular book for a long time that was not moving past a certain point. It was crazy how long it was taking me to complete this work. I couldn’t reach the arc that would see it to the end. I should have been finished with it along time ago but the subject matter is quite sensitive. As I defined myself as – highly sensitive – the material I was writing about caused me to stop and start as my emotions took over.
The great thing about my awareness and sensitivity to this memoir, is that I realized that I love to write, tell stories and create no matter the subject! So when Tamarcus stated his simple “why”, I got it!

Creating the book that I thought I would publish first, was therapy for me. Crafting words that painted a picture, told a story, that created a feeling of accomplishment, which then made me feel good about me has been great! I’ll write that first book but I am re-creating it.
With a fresh clear awareness of my well being, I have been writing other material that makes me smile and even laugh aloud while sometimes bringing tears to my face. I am also writing with a purpose. All that I do, in this season, is intentional and purposeful and is a service to myself and others.
Writing takes time, focus, vulnerability and confidence – I have and am doing the work (inner work) that is helping me to produce! I’m in a better place after doing serious inner work. The inner work includes self-care. The self-care has taken place through many transitions and now transformation. Self-care has enabled me to use life experiences to produce, create and now write. I am creating – books, retreats, a coaching business, a non-profit organization, and a great life!

YOU ARE A CREATOR
We, you and me are natural creators! I provide this encouragement to tap into the gifts within YOU! Take the time to uncover your talents. If you haven’t found your joy; trust and believe – it’s inside. . .waiting for you to bring it to light!
Do not neglect the gift you have, which was given by prophecy. . . Practice these things, immerse yourself in them, so that all may see your progress.
